The Outlaws are suspected to have stolen a gold shipment but the suspicion also lies on Maid Mariam who was one of the few that knew about the shipment. Count of Severne makes a bet with the sheriff that Mariam will prove to be the spy within their midst. The plan involves a baby borrowed from its very worried parents. The baby is found in the forest but does not fit well in the forest, perhaps Mariam can help.
Personal Synopsis
If by now Maid Mariam is not under suspicion of being somehow connected to the outlaws I would be surprised. Inevitably Maid Mariam comes all too close to being exposed as a supporter of the Outlaws. This episode involves a cunning plan to catch Maid Mariam in the act of aiding the Outlaws by means of the heartstrings. A borrowed baby is used as bait but luckily the Outlaws catch wind of this plan in time.
