Young love is the motivation for Sir Hubert as his sweetheart Rowena is betrothed to another. He seeks out the outlaws to help him get her back and stop the upcoming wedding of Lord De Vere and Rowena. The one hitch is that the dowry De Vere is offering is one that Rowena’s father cannot refuse. There is only one option available to this heartbroken knight.
Personal Synopsis
Love is a strong motivator and especially in a system of bethrothment and dowry. We forget that marriage for love is a somewhat recent phenomenon. This episode highlights the likely real life stories of medieval lovers that for some reason or another could not actualized their love in marriage.
