Robin is discussing the days plans in Sherwood Forest when the camp is visited by Duncan of Stoneykirk. His bombastic personality and strange behaviour stirs up the Outlaws with fascination and frustration. The Outlaws are not enjoying his visit to the green but Maid Marian is quite fond of Duncan’s unique scottish ways. Robin’s jealousy begins to get to him and his nerves are tested by the abrasive Duncan all while the Scotsman’s smooth ways are charming Maid Marian. Duncan has now gone to far and is risking his own neck because of his naivety. Once Duncan’s real purpose for being in the Sherwood Forest is revealed, the Outlaws find solace in protecting those, even if they are annoying, who are willing to stand and fight for King Richard.
Personal Synopsis
The tempers of the Outlaws are tested by the newest addition to Sherwood Forest. Duncan of Stoneykirk is here and don’t they know it. All was well before, but Duncan’s fiery temperament and childish pranks have pushed the outlaws to their wits end. Someone will need to give this scottish rogue a lesson in Sherwood Forest manners. Hugh McDermott plays Duncan so well that you can actually see the annoyance on the faces of the Outlaws. This story brings in another character that will show his face throughout the series and a memorable one at that.
