A timid young man is seeking to learn swordsmanship. He has the build for it but is very timid and lacks courage. He is to defend the honour of a Lady Lydia to receive her love. To change the timid Sir Bernard, Merlin offers a “magical sword” and Sir Bernard believe he is now invincible. With the newly gained confidence Sir Bernard challenges the brothers that are holding his lady lydia. Sir Bernard finds his courage when faced with the knights.
Personal Synopsis
An episode showing how ones strength is not from our tools but from within ourselves. A fairly good life lesson intertwined with a gallant adventure. This was a decent watch and I would attempt to watch it again if time permitted. There is a funny piece of dialogue as Sir Bernard is kissing Lydia. There is an interesting cameo, Michael Caine as a knight.
