Department S Episode 13: The Shift That Never Was

The boss comes into work to find out that every single one of his employees had fallen ill the day before. Except for one person, the newly hired secretary. Of course her name was false and Department S have been put in this case to find out why this would happen. Bellman Parsons being a chemical company, the possibilities could be vast and potentially catastrophic. The other interesting fact was all the employees were poisoned, not enough to kill but enough to keep them home. The trail of the missing secretary takes Jason to a salon with an interesting owner with plans of her own. A nuclear power plant becomes a part of the investigation and it all becomes clear why there was a shift that never was.

Personal Synopsis

A classic caper that includes a hair salon, nuclear rods and jungle photo shoots, what more could you want. This episode captures a bit of the fear that may linger today about the vulnerability of a Nuclear Power Plant. The classic blonde backstabs a man with position to get herself and her “real partner” the riches. Formulaic. There are some scenes of a debonaire Jason King and plenty of leg shots of Annabelle and others. For some reason Eric Landers character “Stayte” looks like a vampire. Very nice episode through and through.
